Why solar EV charging

EV charging that doesn't shift the emissions problem.

Charging vehicles with solar, not diesel

Africa's EV transition only delivers its environmental and economic promise when charging is powered by clean, low-cost energy. Charging EVs from a diesel-backed grid simply shifts the emissions problem upstream, and exposes operators to fuel-price volatility on the FX-denominated cost of diesel.

Prime Digital Tek's preferred architecture pairs every EV charging hub with solar PV and battery energy storage, so charging draws first on stored solar, falls back to the grid when available, and treats diesel as a last resort.

From home wallbox to 180 kW DC fast hubs

We deliver the full range of charging infrastructure: 7 kW Type-2 wallboxes for homes and estates, 22 kW commercial AC for offices and retail, and 30 to 180 kW DC fast chargers (CCS2 / GB/T / CHAdeMO) for fleet depots, highway corridors and public charging hubs. Each site is engineered with cable management, lighting, CCTV and signage to operate safely and predictably.

Operator-ready back end

Tariff management, RFID/app authentication, OCPP integration, billing and asset performance reporting are wired in from day one, so a hub can be operated as a public charge-point business or as a private fleet asset with full cost recovery and SLA visibility.
